Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers to help you schedule your turnover efficiently and understand the process.
What is a “turnover”?
A turnover is an outcome‐based rent‐ready cleaning for a rental unit between occupants. We focus on visible, reasonably accessible areas and verify completion with required photos and a QC gate.
Who performs the work?
Prompt & Proper operates as a dispatch and quality control platform. Services are
fulfilled by independent vendor partner companies.
Do you provide proof that the job was completed?
Yes. Every turnover includes a QC‐Approved Photo Proof Pack + Service Summary (Closeout Pack). Jobs are not complete until documentation is QC‐approved.
Do you collect access codes by text or email?
No. Do not text/email access codes. Access details are recorded only inside the secure job record once intake begins.
Does the unit need to be vacant?
Before scheduling, you must confirm either (A) Vacant/Turnover‐Ready or (B) Not Vacant but Approved for Limited Documentation. If a unit isn’t fully vacant, documentation is limited to privacy‐safe angles and excludes drawers/closets and close-ups of personal items.
Are utilities required?
Standard service assumes water and electricity are on and functional. If utilities are off, the job may be paused or require limited-service authorization.
What is included in a standard turnover?
Rent‐ready outcomes in included spaces (kitchen, bathrooms up to booked count, living/common areas, and bedrooms up to booked count). See the Turnovers page for the detailed outcome list.
What is not included?
We do not provide restoration, remediation, biohazard cleanup, mold remediation, pest extermination, carpet extraction, or off-site trash hauling. Appliance interiors and cabinet
interiors require specific add-ons.
Do you clean inside appliances or cabinets?
Only if the applicable add-on is purchased and included in the job record: Appliance
Interiors and/or Cabinet Interiors.
What if I need baseboards detailed or have heavy pet hair?
Select the relevant add-on(s): Baseboards/Wall Spot Cleaning and/or Pet Hair Focus.
What is your cancellation policy?
Summary: cancel >48 hours: $0; 48–24 hours: $95; <24 hours: $175; same-day after dispatch confirmation: $225. No‐access/lockout fee: $95. See Policies/Terms for details.
Is this an emergency service?
No. If you have an emergency or urgent safety concern, call 911 (or the appropriate
emergency contact).
